Casual vs. Raiding Members
Raiders are members who are part of the full-time raid progression schedule. Once you are on a raid roster, we expect you to keep your commitment by showing up for progression raids every Tues, Weds and Thurs at 8:00pm. If you have a scheduling conflict please let us know as early as possible by posting on the Availability forums.
Members: Casual raiders (Member rank) can raid whenever their schedule and the guild's needs permit. Just check the availability forum to see of somebody has a planned absence. Although it's not required that you be online at raid times, it's a good idea in case somebody has an emergency. Besides, scheduled raid times are usually good times to get into a 5-man with other members.
Casual members must meet the same requirements as raiders, and enjoy all the same priveledges. We just maintain different ranks to make it easier for guild leadership to keep track. Note that burned-out raiders have the option to step down to Member (Casual) rank temporarily while they recover.
The Founding Member title is an honorary title for those who helped establish the guild. Most Founding Members are Raiders.
Officers
Officer and Guildmaster all represent the core of guild management and have volunteered considerable time to the healthy operation of the guild.
You may hear us talk about "Officers" and "Raid Leaders" as two separate groups. Officers are in charge outside the instance and Raid Leaders are in charge of a raiding group. We do this to minimize officer burnout for both groups.
Special Guild Ranks
Initiate rank is a temporary rank for new members. This is mostly just a security precaution. You'll be here for a day or so while we make sure everything is as advertized.
Alts are granted either Shadow Member or Shadow Officer rank.
